The campus at Lackham is set in the large country estate of Lackham House. It is surrounded by the River Avon and in on the edge of the conservation village of Lacock. The campus includes the College farm, mixed woodland, equestrian centre, animal centre, halls of residence and excellent sports fields, as well as modern teaching and learning resource facilities. It has a friendly family atmosphere, with many students living on the campus during term time; there are lots of activities to get involved with. The Learning Resource Centre provides a quiet place to study whilst the student common room is a great place to relax and meet friends. The café and restaurant provide a wide choice of meals and snacks.
Just a few miles from Chippenham, it is easy to reach Bath, Bristol, Swindon and London from here by coach, train or road.
The Salisbury campus is the main base for most of our international students. A small and very friendly place to study, you will quickly settle in to student life. If you are looking to discover what it is like to study and live in England then there couldn't be a better place to start.
Located in the heart of one of the most beautiful and culturally active cathedral cities in Britain, there is everything you will need as a student right on your doorstep. With one of the country's leading repertory theatres, the annual Salisbury Festival which attracts international artists, great shopping, markets and lots of live music venues there is always something to do in the city. Then when you want to explore more of the UK you will find that there's an astounding range of cities, scenery and opportunities within very easy reach. London, Winchester and Southampton are easy to get to, as is the beautiful New Forest and southern coastline.
Wiltshire College has a £500,000 purpose-built motorsport facility based at Castle Combe racetrack. We offer courses to students in motor sport engineering and technology in a real-world environment. The Castle Combe centre is the first circuit-based motor sport engineering centre in the UK. Set in beautiful countryside on the edge of the Cotswolds it is a short distance from Chippenham and Bath.
The campus is located close to open parkland on the edge of the town centre. A friendly and small campus with dedicated facilities for our degree students, it is an inspiring place to study with many of our creative industry courses based here. Cafés and a restaurant provide meals throughout the day, the newly refurbished Learning Resource centre is a great place to study, there are hair and beauty salons, a Creative Industries centre and dedicated studio space for our Arts students.
With the Olympiad sports centre and the town centre just a short walk away there is always lots to do. Chippenham is a growing service centre and manufacturing town close to the M4 motorway.
The Cotswolds are nearby and the railway station, just two minutes from the campus, gives students the option of visiting the lively cities of Bath, Bristol and London easily.
The College's largest campus is situated in a largely residential area on the outskirts of the town about one mile from the town centre. Trowbridge is the rapidly expanding county town of Wiltshire and is a well-established manufacturing and service centre set in the growth corridor between the M4 (15 miles) and the A36 and is surrounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty. The centre of the busy town is within easy reach. The historic town of Bradford-on-Avon and the city of Bath are just a short bus or train ride away.
Trowbridge is a friendly and lively campus to study at. There is always a lot to do with the student common room at the centre of student activities. Cafés and a restaurant provide meals throughout the day; there is a large Learning Resource centre, hair and beauty salons, a new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) centre and dedicated studio space for our Arts students.
Our Lackham campus is also home to several large working farms totalling 1791 acres, including some 170 cows as well as pigs, sheep, a museum and a zoo.
